How To Clone A Vertex Standard VX-261 Two-Way Radio

Vertex Standard VX-261 Two-Way Radio Cloning Procedure:

Step #1 – Make sure to turn off both radios you are working with.

Step#2 – Connect the Vertex Standard CT27 cloning cable to both radios by connecting it to the microphone / speaker jack.

Step #3 – Using the radio that you would like to transmit the frequency from, press and hold the “Side 1” key and the “PTT” key at the same time while turning the radio ON. The LED will turn orange.

Step #4 – Repeat Step #3 with the second radio

Step #5 – Using the radio that you would like to receive the frequency, press the “Side 1” key. The LED will turn Green.

Step #6 – Using the radio that you would like to send the frequency from, press the “PTT” key. The LED will turn Red.

Step #7 – Wait until the LED light on both radios turns off. That indicates that the frequency has successfully been transmitted from one radio to another. The radios will now be able to communicate.
